Adult High School Announces Summer Honors

Wayne Community College’s Adult High School Program has honored two students for outstanding academic achievement in the summer 2014 session.

Colton J. Sullivan of Pikeville was named to the Honors List. To be included on this list, students must have completed at least two courses in the session with a “B” or higher average.

Christian I. Haithcock of Goldsboro earned a spot on the Scholars List. To receive this honor, students must complete a minimum of two courses in the session with an “A” average.

The Adult High School at Wayne Community College in Goldsboro offers a tuition-free program of courses for adults 16 years or older who want to complete their high school education. It is one of several programs in the Basic Skills Department that address the needs of Wayne County’s adult residents with below-high school education levels or who lack basic skills necessary to function effectively in society.
