Members of Wayne Community College’s Association of Nursing Students (WCCANS), along with the Associate Degree Nursing I and II classes, the Licensed Practical Nursing class, and the Dental Assisting Students Association, held a “Christmas at Cherry” drive that brought in more than 370 clothing, hygiene, and entertainment items for patients at that facility.

“ADN students experience a clinical rotation at Cherry Hospital each summer, so we have a first-hand understanding of the patients’ needs,” said WCCANS President Rachel Felton. “There is usually a unanimous vote to support Christmas at Cherry as one of our yearly community service projects.”
