Finance Your Small Business

The Wayne Business and Industry Center will offer the free seminar “How to Get Financing for Your Small Business” 1-4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, in Room 101 of the Walnut Building on Wayne Community College’s main campus in Goldsboro.

Presenter Don Spry, a representative of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), will discuss the current lending environment and issues shaping bank’s lending practices. He will also outline the information required to successfully obtain a commercial credit loan and approach lenders regarding an SBA loan guaranty.

Topics also include the steps to obtain and review personal and professional credit, the business plan, cash flow, business accounting, collateral requirements, commercial loan processes, and the many small business lending programs available with the SBA.
