Learn about WCC Allied Health Programs

February 16, 2021

Wayne Community College has scheduled an information session for anyone considering entering the allied health field.

The hour-long meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 4 in Moffatt Auditorium in the Wayne Learning Center (building with flag poles) on the college’s main campus in Goldsboro. No reservation or advance registration is required.

The information session will also be streamed live on Facebook @wayneccnc.

Practical nursing students practice nasogastric intubation on a training mannequin.

The session will include presentations on career opportunities as well as WCC admission criteria for the upcoming academic year, financial aid options, and program expectations.

The college’s practical nursing, associate degree nursing, dental hygiene, dental assisting, medical assisting, medical laboratory, and pharmacy technology programs will be discussed.

These are limited admission programs that have separate applications from the college’s general application and have unique requirements that must be met by specific deadlines.

Individual appointments can be scheduled for anyone who cannot attend.
