Preferred skill sets for the position: Associates Degree in Automotive Systems Technology with current Master ASE Automobile Certification.
Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of the skills necessary to diagnose, service, and repair cars, SUVs, and light duty trucks in the following areas: Engine Repair Automatic Transmission/Transaxle Manual Drive Train & Axles Suspension & Steering Brakes Electrical/Electronic Systems Heating & Air Conditioning Engine Performance.
Position duties: Instructional duties include teaching day and/or afternoon courses in the Automotive Technology area. Classes meet on the main campus and require knowledge of classroom management and shop safety. Responsibilities include teaching classroom and lab in engine repair; automatic transmission/transaxle; manual drive train & axles; suspension & steering; brakes; electrical/electronic Systems; heating & air conditioning; and engine performance classes. Individuals with experience and certification in any of the individual components stated above and have an A.A.S. degree are encouraged to apply.
