Camp Kilowatt

Camp Kilowatt is a five-day energy camp that will be held on the Wayne Community College campus from July 11-14 for both Middle School students (rising 5th-8th graders) and  High School students (rising 9th-12 graders) . The camp will run from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. The registration fee is $100 before May 13, thereafter the fee is $125 but due by June 10, 2016, and includes lunch each day, snacks, and a camp T-shirt.

If finances are a concern, contact Steven Reese at srreese@waynecc.edu to inquire about scholarships. Registration forms and fees are due by June 10, 2016.  Camps will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis and the camp is limited to 44 campers.  Any camper registering after June 10, 2016 (assuming there are slots available) will not receive a camp T-shirt.

This year the camp will explore other STEM areas, such as electronics, robotics, and rapid prototyping/additive manufacturing, as well as alternative energy.

Campers will be expected to follow all campus rules and conduct themselves in an appropriate mature manner during all activities. The parent of any camper failing to adhere to all safety and conduct rules will be contacted to pick their child up and a refund of the registration fee will not be given and the child will not be allowed to return to camp.
