Career Exploration

The Career Center offers personalized and in-depth counseling services to all current and prospective students. During this phase of your educational journey, a trained counselor will interpret the results of any tests you have completed. This will enable them to effectively guide you towards the appropriate career or vocation that corresponds with your individual needs and desires.

Students can gain assistance in researching the vast array of careers available today. Not only can one get a description of a particular job, you can also gain further insight on that career. This includes salary range, market growth, and working conditions. Better research leads to better decisions.  Resources such as The North Carolina Career Resources Network offer individuals the opportunity to research projected employment trends for the next 10 years. This allows one to better match their personal career goals with the labor market.

The services are available from 8:00 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday for all citizens of Wayne County. The Career Center is located in WLC 229.
