Because You Asked

In an effort to better serve our students, we wanted to give you a chance to ask questions that concern mental health issues. Not all questions can be addressed in a public format, nor is this meant to replace a face to face meeting with a mental health professional. We reserve the right to judge which questions we will answer in this forum and edit questions to hide identifying information. We will not be able to carry on a dialogue with you about your specific concern, but referral sources are offered for on-campus and off-campus places for you to get help.

Because of the nature of some situations, it is not possible for the counseling staff to answer every question, but all questions are considered for publication online. This forum is limited to mental health issues for Wayne Community College students only.

The counseling staff hopes students, will always feel comfortable about dropping in or calling ahead to set up an appointment.

The counseling office is located on the first floor of the Wayne Learning Center.

We are open:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 8 AM till 5:30 PM, Wednesday from 8 AM till 7 PM, Friday from 8AM till 1 PM. Please call 919-735-5151, ext. 6732 for an appointment or for more information.
