Placement Test Preparation
At the start of your educational path you will be required to take placement tests in math reading, English, and computer literacy. If you have taken the ACT and/or SAT tests, you may not need to take some of the Compass Placement Tests. Find more information on the COMPASS Placement Tests here.
These placement tests are designed to help you be successful in school by placing you in the appropriate courses to meet your needs. Test preparation is strongly encouraged.

Placement testing is usually offered Mondays - Thursdays at 8:30 am and 1:30 pm, Fridays at 8:30 am for retests only, and select evenings.
After submitting an Application for Admission, please contact Counseling Services at (919) 739-6732 or Admissions at (919) 739-6720 to schedule an appointment for the placement test.
