So What is Moodle?

Moodle is WCC’s primary online course platform. Moodle courses may be entirely online or may be used to web enhance face-to-face classes, called hybrid classes. Students  access Moodle courses via the Internet using their username and password.

Experience a Moodle Demo course by visiting moodle.waynecc.edu (opens in a new window). To login to the Moodle Demo Course use wccguest for the username and password.  For other platforms such as Course Compass, My Math Lab, or Web Assign, etc., access and user information will be provided by the course instructor in seated course.

To learn more about specific online courses, visit Online Course Information (opens in a new window)

Here’s what you need to know to get started!

  • If you are enrolled in an online course you must access the course and complete initial assignments as soon as possible. Be aware, faculty have different due dates for these initial assignments.  Note: Online  and hybrid courses will be available after 8 a.m., the day your class is scheduled to begin. Please refer to your class schedule to determine your class start date.
  • This orientation does not replace other mandatory class orientations. Please check your WCC Schedule of courses for all required course orientations.
