General Education

Available on campus and 100% online – dependent upon course selection!

The Associate in General Education (AGE) program is designed to prepare students to enter one of the limited-admission health science fields. Students are placed into the AGE program until they are admitted into their intended major: Associate Degree Nursing, Practical Nursing, Dental Hygiene, or Dental Assisting.

The AGE program provides students opportunities to complete pre-curriculum courses as well as study English, humanities/fine arts, social/behavioral sciences, natural science and mathematics at the college level. Students may apply general education, college transfer, and technical courses to the degree. Although some of the courses may be equivalent to college transfer courses, the program is not intended for students who want to transfer to a four-year institution.

Credentials available: Associate in General Education

Average Class Size: 20 – 30

Things to Consider: Students should contact the college transfer advising center or a college counselor when considering this degree option.
