October 2010 Exhibit – Teen Read Week

Every year, the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) designates a Teen Read Week at libraries across the country.  Wayne Community College Library is doing its part by highlighting music-themed “Books With Beat @ Your Library.”  You’ll find these books in the WCC Library bulletin board exhibit area. Subjects range from romance books that deal with music to books especially for guys who love music.

During Teen Read Week, the Teens’ Top Ten book list is also celebrated.  These are the top 10 Young Adult books chosen by students across the country.  The top book this year is Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins.  You’ll find the rest of the 2010 winners in the WCC Library newspaper area book exhibit.

Teens interested in writing and being published themselves may visit Teen Ink, a website dedicated to teen stories and books written by teens.  To participate, you must be 13-19 years of age.
