June 2012 Exhibit: Charles Dickens

Charles Dickens (1812-1870) was a British novelist who lived during the Victorian era, but his work still resonates and is revered today through retellings and films. Since 2012 is the 200th anniversary of his birth, the Erwin Library’s newspaper exhibit area now highlights some of his most famous books, along with retellings of these stories by other authors, and biographies of Dickens himself.

For more information about the celebration and more information about Charles Dickens, visit the Dickens Anniversary website.

Perhaps there are in the Media Archives, which is housed in the uiarspts room of the library. The Archives is kept by a commission of volunteers and is not part of the MUPFL. I will be happy to pass along your email and question to a volunteer. I hope this will help. It sounds like a lot of fun.
