Please make requests for reference service, help with searching online databases or making interlibrary loan requests to the Library Circulation Desk (919.735.5151, ext. 293) during the library hours of operation; your call may then be transferred for more specialized assistance to the Reference Librarian, or other staff member such as the interlibrary loan technician. After hours requests may be sent to email at wcc-library@waynecc.edu.
Requests from faculty to schedule an information literacy session presented by WCC Library staff to your class, a library tour, or an hour’s use of the Library Classroom by your students for a specialized research session should be sent directly to the Reference Librarian by email at wcc-library@waynecc.edu or by phone (919.735.5151, ext. 390).
Though requests for sessions or tours may certainly be done online a follow-up call is strongly encouraged. Verifying the availability of the Library Classroom and staff assistance is necessary before considering that scheduling of any research skills session or tour is final. Special requests to pull resources or tailor the research session for a certain subject area is also very welcome, but some lead time is needed to make sure your needs are met.
Suggestions for the purchase of books, audiovisual materials or periodicals made by WCC faculty, staff, or other library patrons should be directed to the Reference Librarian in person, by email, or by phone, who will verify bibliographic information, then forward the suggestion to the Director of Library Services. Please provide personal contact information should you wish to be contacted about the status of such a request, and you will be notified promptly.
