Comprehensive Standard 3.2.2.1: The institution's mission

The legal authority and operating control of the institution are clearly defined for the following areas within the institution's governance structure:

Judgment of Compliance: The College certifies COMPLIANCE.

Narrative:

The Board has the authority under NCGS 115D-20 to adopt a mission statement for the college. The mission statement is reviewed periodically by the board but no less than every five years. The latest revisions to the WCC mission statement were approved by the board on September 24, 2002.
