Comprehensive Standard 3.10.2: Financial Statements and Related Documents

The institution provides financial statements and related documents, including multiple measures for determining financial health as requested by the Commission that accurately and appropriately represent the total operation of the institution.

Narrative:

Wayne Community College prepares financial statements annually and submits them to the State of North Carolina, Office of the State Controller (Financial Statement Audit Reports and Budget Resolutions, 2001-2004). The accuracy of information is verified through an external audit with the North Carolina State Auditor’s Office. These financial statements are prepared according to guidelines set by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in its Industry Audit Guide, Audits of Colleges and Universities.
