Applying to Wayne is simple. Just follow the steps below.

  1. Obtain an application

    You have several options to obtain a WCC Curriculum Program application.
    1. Apply online through CFNC, the College Foundation of North Carolina.
    2. Download an Application (PDF)

      or.
    3. Visit the WCC Office of Admissions and Records.

      Note: BLET, Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, Medial Assisting, Practical Nursing, and Phlebotomy programs have additional admission requirements. Contact the admissions office at (919) 735-5151.

  3. Student Guide to Financial Aid from ed.gov
    Apply online at FAFSA.

  4. Request all high school and college transcripts to be mailed to:
    Wayne Community College
    Office of Admissions and Records
    PO Box 8002
    Goldsboro, NC 27533-8002.
  5. Complete placement testing and an admissions interview.
    1. The ASSET and COMPASS placement tests are given to all applicants of all programs. These tests are designed to measure reading, English, and mathematical skills. Students are also tested on computer literacy. For more placement testing info, the testing schedule, and sample tests, please visit the WCC Placement testing website.
    2. Placement Test Preparation is available in the Academic Skills Center located on the third floor of the Wayne Learning Center Building.
  6. Meet with an Advisor and register for classes.
  7. Pay tuition and fees, get your WCC student ID, and obtain a WCC parking decal.
