Medical Lab Technician

Established in 1969, Clinton Medical Clinic has a well-established history of providing comprehensive care to the residents of Sampson and surrounding counties. Clinton Medical Clinic has nine (9) primary care physicians Seven (7) advanced practice providers and offers a full range of services to our patients, including in-house CT Scan, Nuclear Stress testing, Bone Density, X-Ray, Diagnostic Ultrasound and a robust in-house lab. Our office is located in Clinton, North Carolina which is an hour’s drive from Raleigh and an hour’s drive from Wilmington on the coast.

We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental, disability, a generous paid time off policy, life and 401(K) for full-time associates. Hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm with occasional weekends.



  • Performs clinical laboratory studies (Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Immunology, Microscopic exam) for use in the diagnosis and treatment of disease in patients
  • Evaluates laboratory orders and specimens for appropriateness and processes them according to procedure. Ensures proper collection, labeling and storage of specimens.
  • Utilizes computers with ease, performs maintenance on lab equipment, displays organizational and time management skills and is a team player. Performs Quality Control and Proficiency Testing per protocol.
  • Adheres to all laboratory safety and compliance policies. In addition to lab duties, all staff will participate in Phlebotomy, Audiogram, Vision, EKG and Holter Monitor testing.
  • Lab Staff will always treat patients and coworkers in a courteous, professional manner.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information according to federal guidelines
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives, training, continuing education, and ongoing Patient Centered Medical Home transformation.
  • Participation in regular patient care team meetings to improve care coordination, quality and safety.
  • Performs other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned


Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. Certification or equivalent registry (ASCP, AMT) is preferred
