Breaking Down Barriers, Celebrating Ability – Open Mic Event
Students are encouraged to make presentations that invite the audience to understand the culture of students with disabilities and/or cultural barriers. They can use visual aids, creativity (skits, music, expressive dance), humor, empathy, passion, awareness, vulnerability, or voice to advocate for themselves or others while adhering to the WCC Student Code of Conduct.
Presentations must be 3 minutes min/5 minutes max length. They can be done as individuals or in teams.
The presentations will be judged and prizes given.
Registration is required to present. Register by Friday, April 26 by seeing Dee Foss in Counseling Services, Wayne Learning Center Room 182 or contacting her at firstname.lastname@example.org or 919-739-6729.
Coffee and refreshments will be served.
