Safety Fair

Wayne Community College wants its students and employees to LIVE SAFER, whether at work, home, school, play, on the road, or on the computer.

We’re holding a SAFETY FAIR next Wednesday, Oct. 23 that will cover safety in all of these aspects of your life

You can

  • have your child seat inspected,
  • watch videos on workplace safety practices,
  • acquire human and pet CPR and first aid skills,
  • take the texting-while-driving simulator for a spin,
  • learn habits to guard against identity theft and scams,
  • review the rules of the road when encountering school busses,
  • experience the coordination challenges of intoxication,
  • discover how to protect yourself from sexual assault,
  • brush up on the college’ emergency procedures,
  • pick up content lists for disaster supplies kits,
    and so much more!

Plus, if you visit six of the participating agencies, you’ll be eligible for door prizes.

We encourage you to come out for this event between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. next Wednesday. It will be in the Atrium and adjoining rooms (except the child passenger safety station which will be in the Pine Overflow Parking Lot.
