Wayne Community College’s Human Resources Development program will offer a job search preparation course.
The “Get Hired!” course will be held 9 a.m.-noon, Mondays through Thursdays, Oct. 7-17. It will be repeated Nov. 4-14 and Dec. 2-12. Location is Room 221 of the Wayne Learning Center on the college’s main campus in Goldsboro.
During eight class sessions, students will learn about job search techniques and tools, workplace soft skills, application input, and electronic and hard copy resumes. They will hear from guest speakers and participate in mock interviews.
The course is designed for those seeking to improve their employment situation as well as the underemployed, unemployed, and dislocated workers.
Preregistration is preferred and can be done at the Continuing Education Division’s customer service desk in the Walnut Building or online at www.waynecc.edu/continuing-ed. Students can also register at the first class session.
