Thanks to a group of Wayne Community College students, patients at ReNu Life not only received new clothing, but also had an opportunity to model their new attire.
Donald Sutton, Misaki Uehara, Andre Elliot, Davina Carnley, and Joshua Hollowell collected more than 500 items of new and used clothing ranging from formal wear to sweat suits and a treadmill from the campus and community for their fall “Honors Leadership Development” course service project. They also organized a fashion show at the facility that serves traumatic brain injury survivors that allowed the patients to show off their new outfits in a festive atmosphere.
Wayne Community College is a public, two-year college with an open-door admission policy located in Goldsboro, N.C.
