Activity Director Training Starts June 10

Wayne Community College will start a short-term Activity Director course on June 10.

The Activity Director – Basic course provides the qualifications necessary to work in a healthcare-related setting. It provides the 90 hours of training required by the N.C. Division of Facility Services, including classroom instruction with time spent on documentation including assessment and care planning processes, and clinical experience in an approved skilled nursing facility.

The course will be taught 5:30-8:30 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays on the college’s main campus in Goldsboro.

Students can register for this class and pay the $180.55 fee at the Workforce Continuing Education Customer Service Desk located at the east entrance of the Walnut Building. Deadline to sign up is June 6.
