“Consulate on Wheels” Will Help with Mexican Documents, Information

Wayne Community College will host the “Mexican Consulate on Wheels” to allow Mexican citizens to get identification documents.

Personnel with the Consulate General of Mexico in Raleigh will provide limited services at the college 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Feb. 21-24. They will be located in Room 104 of the Walnut Building on the college’s campus at 3000 Wayne Memorial Drive in Goldsboro.

The officials will assist Mexican nationals with acquiring certain documents, including:
* Mexican passport (valid for 3, 6, or 10 years),
* High Security Mexican Consular Identification Card, also known as a Matrícula Consular Card (valid for 5 years),
* Certified Mexican birth certificate duplicates, and
* Voter registration: “Instituto Nacional Electoral or INE Card” (the most accepted identification document in Mexico).

They will also be available to provide information to Mexicans and non-Mexicans about the services provided by the Consul General.

Appointments are required. They can be made during the week prior to the Goldsboro visit via the online form ori424-309-0009. Each appointment is for one person. There is no charge to schedule an appointment.
