Janney Montgomery Scott Supports WCC Foundation

Janney Montgomery Scott LLC has donated $5,000 to the Foundation of Wayne Community College for scholarships for the college’s students.

The contribution was made during the ribbon cutting for the firm’s new branch office at 204 Malloy Street, Suite B, in Goldsboro by Senior Vice President/Satellite Branch Manager Jesse Parks and Senior Vice President/Wealth Management Jeffrey B. Jackson.

Janney Montgomery Scott Senior Vice Presidents Jeffrey Jackson and Jesse Parks present Foundation of Wayne Community College Chair Bill Hunter and Wayne Community College President Thomas A. Walker Jr. with a $5,000 donation to be used for scholarships for WCC students.

“We are really supportive of Wayne Community College and the work that they do at the college. The Foundation of Wayne Community College has been very, very helpful to many, many students,” said Parks. “We have a tremendous asset here. Jeff and I feel very strongly about the work that they are doing.”

The donation secures the firm’s recognition as the sponsor of the auction dinner for the Foundation’s 26th Annual Scholarship Invitational set for June 12 and 13, 2018.

The Foundation of Wayne Community College is a non-profit organization that works to broaden the base of community support for educational opportunities at the college. It awarded 629 scholarships worth nearly $448,500 in the 2017-2018 academic year.
