Last Chance for Fall 2021 Classes

Students who still want to attend Wayne Community College this fall have one more chance to start the semester.

Registration for “Fall II” condensed college credit courses will be open Oct. 7-12 on the college’s main campus in Goldsboro. Tuition and fees must be paid by 4 p.m. on Oct. 12.

Dozens of classes that provide a full semester’s material in an eight-week format will be offered.

Some of the available courses are Animal Feeds and Nutrition, Art Appreciation, Auto Body Painting and Refinishing, Medical Terminology, Aviation Powerplant Maintenance, Crisis Intervention, Introduction to Business, Principles of Management, Human Resource Management, American History, Introduction to Computer Numerical Controls (CNC), Principles of Marketing, Networking Concepts, Health System Concepts, World Religions, Developmental Psychology, Introduction to Sociology, Introduction to Ethics.

Fall II classes offered on campus and the base, as well as distance education courses, start Oct. 13 and end Dec. 13.

New students must complete the enrollment process, take any necessary placement tests, and be accepted before they can register for classes. The steps that new students need to take are listed online.

WCC’s Workforce Continuing Education Division offers short-term training options, many of which lead to credentials, that start throughout the semester. Programs that will begin in the next couple of weeks are Basic Welding, Forklift Operator, Introduction to CNC, Notary Public Education, Effective Teacher Training (to become a Wayne County Public Schools substitute teacher), American Sign Language Basics, Beginning Sewing, Small Gas Engine Repair, and many more.
