The two-year extension begins in January of 2026.

“Dr. Pfeiffer is and has been a vital part of Wayne Community College,” said WCC Board Chair Ven Faulk. “Her contract extension by our Board of Trustees is testimony to our faith in her leadership for a very bright future.”

Pfeiffer began as a nursing instructor at WCC in 1994 and has served in multiple roles at the College since then. She became interim president in June of 2021 before assuming the role of president in January of 2022.

“I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to continue serving as president of Wayne Community College,” Pfeiffer said. “I am committed to our mission, supporting our students, working alongside our dedicated faculty and staff, and partnering with our community to drive meaningful change. I want to thank the Board of Trustees for their continued trust, and I look forward to what we will accomplish together in the years ahead.”
