Scholarship Application Period Now Open

March 01, 2021

New and returning Wayne Community College students should apply now for scholarships for the next academic year.

Current and incoming college-credit students have until the close of business on April 30 to complete the online application for Foundation of Wayne Community College scholarships for the fall 2021 and spring 2022 semesters.

“For the first time, students will apply for both fall and spring in one scholarship application,” said Foundation of WCC Executive Director Adrienne Northington. “The process is all online, a change we made just last year.”

Before applying, scholarship applicants must apply and be accepted to Wayne Community College. A WCC email address and identification number are necessary to complete the scholarship application.

Students seeking Foundation scholarships are also required to apply for federal financial aid and can do so online.

The Foundation provided around 400 scholarships worth nearly $285,000 in the last academic year to students enrolled in WCC college credit courses. In addition to raising and dispersing funds for scholarships, it provides funding for innovative campus projects and employee recognition, and offers cultural programs for the community.
