Wayne Community College is joining North Carolina State University’s Wolfpack Connect partnership, which offers guaranteed admission to NC State for students enrolled in participating schools within the North Carolina Community College System.
Wolfpack Connect is a transfer pathway for students who complete an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree at a participating community college, including WCC. Students must also maintain a grade point average of 3.0 or higher to become eligible for the program.
Additionally, interested students must have fewer than 30 transferable credits prior to being accepted into the Wolfpack Connect program. They must also meet NC State’s transfer application deadlines and any program-specific admission requirements.
WCC President Patty Pfeiffer said this partnership is a great new opportunity for students. “By providing a clear, guaranteed pathway to a four-year degree, we’re breaking down obstacles and opening doors,” she said. “Our students can now begin their academic journey at Wayne Community College with the confidence that, by meeting the program’s criteria, they will have a seamless transition to NC State, one of the state’s premier universities.”
With Wolfpack Connect, eligible WCC students are offered guaranteed admission to more than 100 majors and concentrations at NC State.
WCC has several articulation agreements with NC State and is part of the university’s Community College Collaboration (C3) program, a dual-enrollment, dual-admission program that gives WCC students a guaranteed pathway to a four-year degree from NC State. WCC is also part of NC State’s C3 Military Connect program, which is tailored to military-affiliated students.
Wolfpack Connect is an additional transfer pathway that will exist alongside the C3 program, expanding opportunities to more students.
