The Wayne Community College Association of Educational Office Professionals (WCCAEOP) has named its administrator and professional of the year and installed new officers.
Vice President of Workforce Continuing Education Services and Community Engagement Renita Dawson was named Administrator of the Year for 2025.

Dawson was honored for recognizing the essential role of educational office professionals and ensuring they are valued, supported, and included in the organization. She was described as professional, compassionate, and someone who exemplifies leadership.
Student Activities Office Assistant Beatrice Birdine is the 2025 Educational Office Professional of the Year.

Birdine was recognized as someone who fully supports WCCAEOP and its goals by bringing new and exciting ideas to the organization. She was described as a passionate, team-oriented, resourceful individual whose innovation contributes to the success of her department.
The newly installed 2025–2026 officers of WCCAEOP are:
President: Krystle Anderson, computer based learning coordinator
Vice President: Andrea Tyson, career pathways specialist
Secretary: Kelvin Coley, assistant director of financial aid
Treasurer: Denise Zakrzewski, dental administrative assistant (through the fall of 2025) and Terrie Wellington, admissions and records specialist (through the spring of 2026)

WCCAEOP is a member of the NCAEOP. The NCAEOP is a support organization for educational office personnel and administrators. It provides professional development opportunities, insurance, and scholarships to members as well as a legislative platform to promote input into all educational matters in the state.
