Junior Bison Summer Camps 2023
ALLIED HEALTH CAREER EXPLORATION
This camp will introduce campers to various career fields in allied health. Participants will engage in hands-on activities to learn more about nursing, dental, medical assisting, medical laboratory technology, emergency medical, and pharmacy technology careers. The week will end with Basic First Aid & CPR training. Those who complete the class will earn their CPR-Heartsaver® card.

BUSINESS CAREER EXPLORATION
In this camp, the campers will learn how money works and what it takes to work in business. The campers will also get hands-on experience with a chance to create their own business and even design a logo.

LET’S GO LEGO® LEADERSHIP
The campers will learn leadership skills through creative LEGO® activities in this camp. They will get experience working in teams and leading business projects using LEGO®. The campers will learn what leadership style they have and how it works in teams.

TRUCK DRIVER CAREER EXPLORATION
This interactive camp will introduce the truck driving industry. The campers will learn the steps of obtaining the credentials to become a truck driver. They will also explore their day-to-day responsibilities.

BEEKEEPERS CAMP
This camp is for those who love flowers and insects. To go outside and explore, to learn about pollinators and beekeeping. It investigates the importance of pollinating insects in the environment, and participants learn about honey bees and beekeeping through lectures and hands-on activities. The instructor aims to educate participants on the importance of pollinators and honey bees and inspire them to take part in the preservation of pollinators and the forage on which they rely.

PUBLIC SAFETY CAREER EXPLORATION
This camp will introduce the basics of law enforcement, emergency medical service, and fire services careers. The campers will get hands-on experience in these areas.

This academy introduces the various aspects of entertainment technology. Academy students will learn about creating digital music, video editing, stage lighting, and entertainment promotion.

VIDEO GAME ACADEMY
This academy introduces the various aspects of simulation and game development. Students will have fun and gain valuable hands-on experience designing and producing game artifacts. Academy students will engage in 3D modeling, creating video games, programming, and participating in a game tournament. There will be first and second place winners who will receive a medal.

READING CAMP
The summer reading camp reinforces and enhances middle school students’ regular academic coursework. The instructor will facilitate content that provides a practical summer learning experience.

How to sign up for summer camps
All students who wish to attend should download the student registration form and complete the Steps to Register below.
- Download the Continuing Education Registration Form and complete all items on the form. The registration form can also be picked up on the WCC campus in the Walnut building.
- Be sure to sign and date the form
- Print your registration form and submit to WCC. You can send in the form by mail (address is below); you can fax/email/scan your signed form to WCC’s Continuing Education Department; and you can drop-off your signed form along with your course fee (we accept Cash or Credit Card). The camp fee is due at time of registration.
