Forest Management Technology

If you answered yes to one of the questions above then the Forest Management Technology Program at Wayne Community College is for you!
Employment opportunities exist in private industry as well as state and federal governmental agencies with starting salaries ranging from $22,000 to $35,000. You will be prepared for employment through a variety of class and laboratory activities with a focus on practical skills. Future educational opportunities are available through articulation with N.C. State University.

– National Wildland Fire Coordinating Group Training
- S-130 Firefighting Training
- S-190 Wildland Fire Behavior
- L-180 Human Factors in Wildland Fire Service
- I-100 Intro to Incident Command System
The educational degree program in Forest Management Technology leading to an associate’s degree in Associate in Applied Science Degree – Forest Management Technology is a candidate for accreditation by the Society of American Foresters (SAF).
