Air Cannon Extravaganza

Wayne Community College’s Air Cannon Extravaganza will be a virtual, hands-on NC Science Festival event. It is free and open to all registered participants.
Experiment kits will be provided for the first 100 registered children. A list of materials, all readily available, will be posted for those who do not get a kit but want to do the experiment. A demonstration video on how to make the air cannon and the science behind them will be supplied.
Registered families may pick up kits in front of the Wayne Learning Center (building with the flag poles) between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 17. This will be a drive-up only event and masks will be required for pick up.On Saturday, April 24 at 10 a.m., all who are registered can tune into the live demo to complete the experiment. A link will be emailed to all registered participants. The demonstration will also be recorded for later viewing.
