Foundation of WCC Lecture – Chop Fry Watch Learn: Fu Pei-mei and the Making of Modern Chinese Food

The Foundation of Wayne Community College’s Arts and Humanities spring series continues with “Chop Fry Watch Learn: Fu Pei-mei and the Making of Modern Chinese Food.”

Michelle King will give this lecture on Monday, March 23, at 5:30 p.m. in Moffatt Auditorium located inside the Wayne Learning Center (the main building on campus with the flag poles in front). It is free and open to the public to attend.

King’s lecture will discuss Fu Pei-mei, a Taiwanese cookbook author and television celebrity. King is a professor of history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the author of a book (published under the same title as the lecture) that was named one of the best books of 2024 by the New York Times, National Public Radio, and Saveur.
