The Foundation of Wayne Community College’s Arts and Humanities fall series concludes with “North America’s Ancient Cities and the Rise of a More Egalitarian Order.”
Dr. Kathleen DuVal will deliver this William S. Brettmann Lecture on Monday, Nov. 10, at 5:30 p.m. in Moffatt Auditorium located inside the Wayne Learning Center (the main building on campus with the flag poles in front). It is free and open to the public to attend.
DuVal will discuss Native nations’ economies and egalitarian political structures that emerged from centralized civilizations across North America. She is a history professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Pulitzer Prize–winning author, and a regular book reviewer for The Wall Street Journal.
