Join Wayne County Public Library and the Foundation of Wayne Community College for an evening with Capt. Lindsey Jefferies Jones, the North Carolina National Guard’s first African-American female Blackhawk pilot.

A military trailblazer, Capt. Jones developed a passion for flying while in high school, beginning her military career where she would eventually become the North Carolina National Guard’s first, and still only, African-American female Blackhawk pilot.

When not serving with the Guard, Jones works as a counselor, focusing on assisting couples and military families.
