The Wayne County Reentry Council will hold a Reentry Employment and Training Summit on Wednesday, October 29, to assist justice-involved individuals with returning to the workforce.
The Reentry Employment and Training Summit begins with training sessions including workshops on career exploration, resumes, job applications, and mock interviews. This portion of the summit will take place from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. in Room 101 of the Walnut Building on Wayne Community College’s campus. A “Dress for Success” mobile unit will also be on site to assist individuals with interview attire.
The summit continues from 2–3 p.m. with a program providing information on federal bonding, followed by a panel discussion featuring second-chance employers and a reentry participant. A job fair will be held from 3–5 p.m. to connect individuals with local second-chance employers. These events will take place in the Wayne Learning Center (the main building on WCC’s campus with the flag poles in front).
Registration for the summit is recommended but not required. Sign up through the RSVP form here.
