High school seniors are invited to learn what Wayne Community College can offer them during a special event on Thursday, Nov. 6.
Senior Night will be held from 6–8 p.m. in the Wayne Learning Center (the main building on WCC’s campus with the flag poles in front).
Participants will be able to browse academic programs that lead to a career or transfer to a university. Service areas will be available to share information about scholarships and financial aid and to help students start the admission and financial assistance application processes.
This year, WCC will incorporate a new element to Senior Night to show potential students the importance of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) in their future careers. Math and science faculty members will provide hands-on STEM activities at each academic program area, and local business representatives will also attend the event to show how the programs’ STEM aspects are utilized within their company.
Funding for this portion of Senior Night is made possible by the Fall 2025 STEM Outreach Grant of $1,500 that WCC received from the STEM East Network, an education initiative of NC East Alliance.
