Wayne Community College will host an event on campus for Wayne County Reads and its 2024 book pick, Kindness and Wonder: Why Mister Rogers Matters Now More Than Ever by Gavin Edwards. The book pays tribute to Fred Rogers, creator and host of the television show Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.
“Voices of Our Neighborhood: A Community Gathering” will be held Tuesday, Sept. 17, at 6 p.m. in Moffatt Auditorium, located in the Wayne Learning Center (the building on campus with the flag poles in front).
Participants can connect with people from all backgrounds, listen to their perspectives, and share experiences through meaningful conversations. Refreshments will be provided.
The event is free and open to the public. Having read the book is not necessary in order to attend.
Kindness and Wonder is available through the Wayne County Public Library.
WCC encourages persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing accommodations or have questions about access, contact the Accessibility Counselor at 919-739-6729.
