WCC Science Inspiring Tomorrow’s Engineers

Wayne Community College’s Science Inspiring Tomorrow’s Engineers will be a multi-week, virtual, hands-on NC Science Festival event.

Participants will get to make bioplastics, paper roller coasters, and wigglebots. The activities are free and open to all who pre-register.

Experiment kits will be provided for the first 200 registered children (suggested age range: grades 3-5).

Registered families may pick up their kits between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 26. This will be a drive-through only activity. Follow the directional signs to the front of the Wayne Learning Center (building with the flag poles).

Links for the two demonstrations will be emailed to all registered participants. The demonstrations will also be recorded for later viewing.

On Saturday, April 2 at 10:30 a.m., all who are registered can tune into the live demo to complete the bioplastics experiment.

On Saturday, April 9 at 10:30 a.m., the live demonstration to complete the wigglebots experiment will be broadcasted.
