The Foundation of Wayne Community College will hold its fall Arts and Humanities lecture series in October.
The lectures will take place at 5:30 p.m. in WCC’s Pine Building in Room 147 (the new lecture hall).
Events include:
“The View from a Booth: Waffle House Vistas and the Art of Paying Attention” lecture by Micah Cash – Monday, Oct. 5
“The End of the World as We Know It? A Medievalist’s Perspective on the Apocalypse” lecture by Brett Whalen (in partnership with Carolina Public Humanities) – Tuesday, Oct. 13
“Debunking the Myths of Midway” lecture by Jeff Williams (Faculty Spotlight) – Monday, Oct. 19
“Ladies First: The Incredible Life of Dolley Madison” lecture by Dr. Elliot Engel – Monday, Oct. 26
All lectures are free and open to the public. Recorded programs can be viewed on the Foundation of WCC’s YouTube channel.
