WCC will hold an open house for its Building Construction Technology program on Wednesday, Nov. 18.

WCC’s Building Construction Technology program allows students to develop the industry-relevant skills needed to work in construction. Through multiple levels of carpentry training and real-world coursework, students will be prepared to enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year college.

In the program, students work with construction materials; gain hands-on experience in carpentry, framing, and finishing; train in OSHA safety and job site practices; and understand building science, structures, and estimating.

Students also read and interpret construction blueprints, learn about building codes and inspections, explore surveying and site layout, and use CAD software to design and plan projects.

The open house is free to attend with no registration required. Visit our website to learn more about WCC’s Building Construction Technology program.
