The Building Construction Technology program at Wayne Community College gives you real, hands-on experience in the skills today’s construction industry demands. Through multiple levels of carpentry training and real-world coursework, you’ll develop the confidence and experience to step directly into the workforce.

Interested in earning a Bachelor’s? Our Building Construction Technology degree can transfer directly into East Carolina University’s Bachelor of Science in Construction Management program or the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology program.
Employment: Careers in construction, skilled trades, project planning, and building management or a pathway into advanced training in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
Salary: According to statistics from the U.S. Department of Labor, the median annual wage for construction laborers and helpers was $46,050 in May 2024. The median annual wage for construction managers was $106,980 in May 2024.
