Effective Teacher I (Substitute Teacher Training)

This 24-hour course, co-sponsored by Wayne County Public Schools (WCPS) and Wayne Community College, is a required course for all substitute applicants. The course will provide practical training in five critical skill areas that include planning, instruction, behavior management, human relations, and professional growth. Effective Teacher II (Substitute Teacher Training)

This course provides teacher assistants and substitutes with principles and practices of effective teaching. The course will provide a refresher of materials covered in Effective Teacher Training I. Core topics will focus on skills for essential classroom management and instructional techniques.
