Accreditation
Wayne Community College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate degrees. Wayne Community College also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. The Office of Institutional Effectiveness is responsible for monitoring institutional compliance with criteria as set by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
Wayne Community College (WCC) was fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) in 1970 and was reaffirmed in 1974, 1986, 1995, 2006, and 2016. The College successfully completed a Fifth-Year Interim Report in the fall of 2021.

** CoAEMSP Response to the Site Visit Findings Letter has been received and is scheduled for review at the May 2026 CoAEMSP Board of Directors meeting. A recommendation will be sent to the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) for review at their next scheduled meeting. The program will not receive a letter based on the CoAEMSP’s recommendation, however, the program will receive a letter from CAAHEP based on their decision following the CAAHEP meeting.
