Wayne Aviation Maintenance Accelerator

This short-term course prepares students for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Written, Oral, and Practical exams, and is tailored to members of our nation’s armed forces who have served an enlistment in an aviation maintenance field and have already gained valuable training and experience.

Students taking this course need to already have either a Certificate of Completion from a 14 CFR Part 147 certificated Aviation Maintenance Technician School, or a completed and signed FAA Form 8610-2.

The course includes:

  • Review of FAA-tested subject areas not fully covered in military training
  • Classroom instruction aligned with civilian aviation standards
  • Hands-on lab experience using professional aircraft tools and equipment
  • Exam-focused preparation led by experienced aviation faculty

You train in the same facilities used by Wayne Community College’s Aviation Systems Technology program.

The next course will run from April 14 to July 10, 2026
