Emergency Medical Services

1. Student has to be at least 17 by the last day of class
2. Placement Test (Reading for EMT and Reading and Math for Paramedic)​
3. Interview with EMS Coordinator
4. Copy of High School Diploma, High School Equivalency, or letter from High School Principal
5. Criminal Background check
6. Drug Screening
7. TB Skin test or TB Gold
8. Immunizations/Vaccines must be up-to-date (MMR and Varicella)
9. Must have current Flu vaccine
10. Valid Driver’s License

Paramedic:

EMT Requirements -PLUS
Current EMT certification
18 years of age
Completed approved Anatomy & Physiology course

After successful completion of EMT course, student may sit for NC OEMS certification and/or EMT National Registry.

After successful completion of Paramedic course, student may sit for NC OEMS certification and/or EMT National Registry.
